Decide which journey matters most

For a Tashkent–Samarkand–Bukhara–Khiva itinerary, write down every rail leg before buying anything. Note the date, acceptable departure times and whether you can travel a day earlier or later. If one journey determines the rest of your holiday, secure that leg before committing to accommodation that cannot be changed.

The offer gives a 60-day, 10:00 local sales opening from the train’s originating station, subject to change. Check the calendar. Official offer, section 3.

Do not build a tight connection around a timetable you have merely found online. Compare the actual arrival date as well as the time; an overnight trip can move your hotel check-in to the following day.

02

Book in six steps

Open the official ticket website directly. The steps below are based on the railway’s booking instructions and current FAQ. Button labels can differ between language versions.

  1. 1

    Search the stations and date

Select the departure and arrival stations from the suggested list, then choose a date. Check that you have selected the intended station rather than accepting the first similar name.

  2. 2

    Compare the departures

Review train number, departure and arrival times, carriage category, availability and fare. Balance the whole travel day against the ticket price, including your journey to and from the station.

  3. 3

    Sign in and choose seats

Register or sign in when prompted. Select the carriage and available seat on its diagram. For a group, check that the selected places meet your needs before moving on.

  4. 4

    Enter each passenger’s details

Complete the passenger and document fields. Add children through the booking flow and check their age and seat requirements. Keep the relevant passport beside you rather than copying from an old booking.

  5. 5

    Review and pay

Check every passenger, date, station and the total. Read the offer before accepting it. Complete the displayed payment process within its countdown; have your bank’s authentication method ready.

  6. 6

    Open the issued tickets

Return to your orders and download every passenger’s ticket. Check the journey again and save the files somewhere you can find without mobile data.

03

Make the ticket match your passport

Use the passport you will travel with and, if it uses two scripts, enter the spelling in the Latin alphabet. Correct errors before payment. Passenger details guidance.

Bring the matching original identity document: the conductor checks identity at boarding. Passenger carriage rules, paragraph 41. If you discover an error after paying, contact official support promptly with the ticket reference. Do not assume you can edit the PDF yourself or explain a mismatch on the platform.

04

Paying with an overseas card

Official help lists local systems and international options including Visa and Mastercard. Payment instructions. A supported card network does not guarantee that your particular bank will approve the transaction. Use an option actually offered for your order.

OxusRoad recommends checking the final currency and total, keeping your banking app or authentication phone available, and asking your bank about a declined transaction. If the page freezes after payment, inspect your orders and bank activity before trying again. A bank notification alone is not enough to plan your departure.

Keep the order reference and the payment error message for support. Avoid sharing card security codes or authentication passwords in a support conversation.

05

Save the right document for boarding

The domestic booking guide says printing is unnecessary. Domestic e-ticket guidance. Our advice: download the actual ticket rather than relying on an email preview or payment receipt.

International trains without electronic registration require tickets issued at an Uzbek station. Official offer, section 7. Establish which document your particular journey needs before travel.

Our practical recommendation is to keep an offline PDF and an A4 printout as a backup, particularly for an international journey. Charge your phone, check the exact station on the ticket and leave time for station procedures. A ticket for another departure is not a fallback boarding document.

06

Changing plans and requesting a refund

Request a refund through your account or a station ticket office. Official refund guide. Check the selected passenger when cancelling part of a group.

Online refunds close one hour before the train’s originating-station departure. Booking commission is retained alongside the refund fee. Official offer, section 11. Take particular care with this cutoff when boarding farther along the route.

Published deductions include a 15,000 UZS refund fee plus 50% of the seat component within 24–6 hours, or 100% within six hours. Refund deductions. The percentages concern a fare component rather than the whole ticket price.

The offer does not allow reissuing a ticket for another date. Date changes. Our advice: check replacement availability and cancellation costs before giving up your existing seat. Before confirming a refund, read the amount and save the confirmation. If the refund button is unavailable, contact the ticket office promptly.

07

When no suitable train appears

Work through the possibilities in order. Recheck the stations and date, then inspect other departure times and carriage categories. Try nearby dates if your itinerary allows. A calendar date, a scheduled train and a purchasable seat are three different things.

If the desired day is outside the booking calendar, check again later. If seats are unavailable, consider a different listed service or rearranging the order of your cities. Do not assume a ticket office or intermediary can produce a seat that the railway has not made available.

For unresolved ticket issues, use the support links on the official website. The site also lists call centre 1005. Official ticket portal.

Common questions

Should I buy every leg in one sitting?

Prioritise the journey with the least flexibility. Once that is secured, fit the other legs around it and keep a small written checklist so that no date is booked twice.

What if payment appears successful but I cannot find a ticket?

Check your account’s orders before paying again. Keep the transaction reference and contact official support if there is still no issued ticket. Ask your bank to clarify whether the charge is pending or completed.

Can I rely on a screenshot?

Keep the complete downloaded PDF available offline. A screenshot can be a convenient extra, but it may crop the code or journey details. For international trains, resolve any paper-ticket requirement in advance.

What should I check before leaving my hotel?

The departure date and station, train number, ticket files, original passports and the route to the station. Give every adult access to their own ticket if your group could become separated.
