Start with the traveler’s decision

A guide should help you do something: choose a route, book a journey or arrive at the right station. We organize each guide around that decision, then add the background needed to make it well.

Use primary sources for operational details

For railway instructions, we use the railway’s own booking service, help pages and published terms. For destination references, we use official destination information that supports the details about the places mentioned.

Official pages can disagree or describe different situations. When that happens, we explain the limitation and direct you to the instructions shown for your particular ticket. An old disruption notice is evidence that a station assignment can change, not proof of today’s departure station.

Say what was actually checked

A source-check date shows when we checked the references used for the article. It does not indicate that we made a field visit or a test purchase, or guarantee that a seat is available on your date. We do not describe desk research as field verification.

Suggested night allocations and connection buffers are editorial recommendations. Current fares, availability, entry arrangements and operating hours still need checking before you commit to a booking.

English and Russian

Each language has its own complete page, title and links. A language switch takes you to the equivalent guide. We aim for useful, natural explanations rather than a word-for-word translation.

Corrections

If something has changed, include the page title, the detail concerned and a link to a current source in your message. Prepare that note through the contact page and send it to us on WhatsApp or WeChat. Corrections should identify a specific claim so it can be checked.
